Connected safety for people in the field.

Know where your people are. Know who is on site. Give them a simple way to get help when something goes wrong.

Australian owned. Built in Brisbane by Open Rationale.

  • A physical assistance button your people can press without unlocking anything
  • Automatic check-ins that escalate when they are missed
  • One map showing every connected person, device and site
  • Dedicated hardware, corporate phones, or both together

Work does not always happen behind a desk

When people are mobile, organisations lose visibility at exactly the moment it matters most.

  • A social worker on a home visit alone.

  • A council contractor at a remote site.

  • A construction crew moving between worksites.

  • Someone driving between regional jobs.

  • A worker separated from their vehicle and their usual communications.

  • Contractors coming and going from a controlled site.

One platform, four parts

Baxtop Device

A compact cellular safety device with a physical assistance button. Clipped to a bag, a pocket or a work kit, or fitted permanently to a vehicle.

Baxtop Mobile

Turns a corporate smartphone into a Baxtop connected device, so phone users and device users sit side by side.

Baxtop Cloud

Secure location, messaging and device management behind both.

Baxtop Management

One map showing connected personnel, devices, locations, geofences and alerts, for authorised users only.

Safety that does not depend on a phone

A phone belongs to the employee

  • Flat, lost, damaged or forgotten
  • Inconsistent handsets, apps and settings
  • Permissions the user can switch off
  • Privacy and personal number problems
  • The employee leaves and the device leaves too
  • No practical way to standardise or audit

A Baxtop belongs to the organisation

  • Issued to a role or fitted to an asset
  • One configuration across the workforce
  • Physical controls that work under pressure
  • Cellular connectivity included
  • Business owned and business controlled
  • Auditable, and still there next year

For people who need a dedicated safety device rather than another app.

Choose the right device for each role

Start with one team and expand. Whichever mix you choose, it is one environment, one set of users and one map.

Hardware

Dedicated Baxtop devices for higher-risk field roles.

Mobile

Baxtop deployed to corporate smartphones.

Hybrid

Devices for the roles that need them, mobile for everyone else.

When someone needs help

Fewer steps, when every step matters.

  1. A person presses the assistance button on their device or in the app.
  2. Baxtop identifies who they are and where they are.
  3. The contacts and response process you configured are activated.
  4. Your responder gets the location and can make contact.
  5. The alert is acknowledged and logged for your incident records.

Baxtop escalates to the people you nominate, on the process you set. It is not an externally monitored alarm service, and we would rather tell you that now than after you have bought it.

Let locations do some of the work

Draw geofences around construction sites, council facilities, depots, client sites, hazardous areas or whole operating regions. Baxtop records arrival and departure, shows who is currently on a site, and flags it when a person or device moves outside an expected area.

You get contractor attendance, workforce movement and site presence without adding another sign-in sheet for people to forget.

Baxtop supports site attendance and emergency accountability processes. It does not replace statutory systems unless it is formally configured and approved for that purpose.

Baxtop Fleet

Telematics reports the asset. Baxtop reports the crew.

For fleets, the device is fitted to the vehicle rather than issued to a person. Hard-wired, tamper resistant, with an internal battery so it keeps working when the ignition is off. Fitted once, registered against the fleet number, and it stays with the truck when the crew changes.

It runs alongside the telematics you already pay for and replaces no existing contract. Supplied and installed by Baxtop or through one of our installation partners.

Tell us how many vehicles and where they are based, and we will come back with a scope and a price.

Where it is used

  • Lone and mobile workers

Social workers, community workers, healthcare staff and field personnel.

  • Construction

Workers and contractors moving across project sites.

  • Utilities and infrastructure

Remote technicians, inspectors and maintenance crews.

  • Fleets

Civil, hydrovac and pumping, waste, traffic management and field maintenance.

  • Councils and contractors

Crews and contractors moving in and out of controlled sites.

  • Executives and judicial personnel

A discreet secondary way to request assistance, independent of a phone.

Your people's data, handled properly

Location data about workers raises fair questions, so here are the answers before you have to ask.

Stored in Australia

Device, location and check-in data is stored and processed in Australian regions.

Access is role-based

Limited to authorised users, for legitimate organisational safety and operational purposes.

You set retention

Retention windows are set by you, and you can export your data on request.

Secured by default

Encryption in transit and at rest, with per-device identity.

Baxtop does not replace your WHS system, your telematics platform, or emergency services. It is another layer between your people and the unexpected, designed to sit alongside what you already run.

Give your people a Baxtop

Start with one team, or twenty vehicles.

From lone workers to contractors, construction sites to community services, Baxtop connects people, location and response in one platform. Tell us what you run and where, and we will come back with a scope and a price.
